MANCHESTER STANDS FIRM. RUGBY, August 21. The German yarn tariffs committee stated after a meeting at Manchester to-day that the position in regard to the outstanding debts problem, with Germany remained unaltered. It was generally agreed that it was impossible to resume business until satisfactory proposals for a liquidation of outstanding debts had been received. It was decided' on August 10 last that firms would not make delivery or enter into any further business, pending the favourable outcome of negotiations and it was stated to-day that the trade had unanimously observed this agreement.—(British Official Wireless.)
