MOTOR HORNS.

PROPOSED PROHIBITION AT NIGHT. IN CENTRAL LONDON ZONE. RUGBY, August 18. 1 The Ministry of Transport has issued proposals to prohibit the use of motorhorns at night in London. It applies experimentally to a zone within' five miles of Charing Cross between the hours of 11.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. As a further measure to reduce the number of street accidents the Ministry has also arranged to extend by several hundreds the number of marked pedestrian crossings, following the success of the recent experimental use of this device in certain areas of the metropolis. —(British Official Wireless). .
