HAPPY & PLEASANT DAYS IN QUEENSLAND. PLAYERS REVEL IN SUNSHINE TEAM AGAINST NEWCASTLE TO-MORROW. (Received Monday. 5.5 p.m.) BRISBANE August 20. Looking sunburnt after their day under a warm sun on Moreton Bay yesterday and with, their arms full of pineapples and custard apples, two luscious fruits grown exten sively in Queensland, the All Blacks were given a happy farewell this morning. Mr. A. J. Geddes (maanger) said: “We have had a Wonderful time and are sorry indeed to leave Queensland, If New Zealand does not win the Te;t on Saturday, it will not be for want of fitness, as the glorious Queensland' sunshine has benefited every member of the team.” Manchester, Hore, King, Hadley. Hart, Page, Caughey and Corner will go right through to Sydney. The rest of the party will stay over at Newcastle for Wednesday’s match. This move is regarded as a wise one. All and Hadley are regarded ;i», certainties for the Test side. Hadley is unlikely to be fit. The team to play Newcastle is: Collins, Holder, Smith, Bullock-Douglas, Oliver, Lilburne, Kilby, Mataira, Lambourne. Leeson, Knight, Max, McLean, Barry, Mahoney; reserves, Griffiths, McKenzie. Mataira is being tried in the front TOW.
