RUGBY CONTROL.
WAIRARAPA UNION MEETING.
At a meeting of the Wairarapa Rugby Union on Thursday the Dalefield. senior team was given permission to play Athletic seniors at Wellington on August 18. Mr. H. McPhee was appointed, manager of the Wairaraipa team to play at Christchurch on September 8. It was agreed to arrange for a local bus to meet the team on its arrival at Wellington from Christchurch on the return journey. Mr. J. Nyhan was appointe'd manager of the junior Wairarapa team to play at Wellington on Saturday, August 18. The secretary of the Masterton Y.M.C.A. Carnival Committee wrote requesting a benefit match to augment the carnival funds. As no Saturdays would be available, the request was not acceded to.
It was agreed that the Redmond and Pearson Cup matches continue for another fortnight at least.
