MINIATURE RIFLES.

MASTEBTON DEFEAT OPAKI. MARGIN OF ONE POINT. The annual match between members of the Master ton-Opaki Rifle Club and the Masterton Miniature Rifle Club took place last evening and resulted in a win for the Masterton Miniature Rifle Club by the very narrow margin of one point. C. Pickering for the Opaki Club was top score with 98, E. M. Wrigley being next with 97. For the Masterton Club H. Cross, B. Jenkins, and G. H. Murdoch all scored 97. At the conclusion of the match the Opaki Club members were entertained at supper by the Masterton Club. Mr. H. H. Mawley congratulated the winners on their success and expressed thanks for the very hearty welcome. Messrs G. H. Murdoch and H. K. Smith replied. Following are the scores

Masterton: B. R. Jenkins, H .Cross, G. H. Murdoch, 97; E. Chamberlain, 96; W. Ferris, 95; H. Donald, 93; Miss Thomas, D. D. Donald, C. Roff, A. Oakly, 92; W. Aitken, D. Groves, 91; F. Smith, 87; total, 1212. Opaki Club: C. Pickering, 98; E. M. Wrigley, 97; N. H. Kummer, 96; J. Bouzaid, V. E. Donald, D. McKenzie, 94; W. N. Kummer, T. Oakly, 93; R. J. King, C. G. Monro, 92; J. Dean, H. H. Mawley, 91; J. McKenzie, 86; total, 1211.
