(Received Monday, 7.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 16. w An Italian, John Lindo, told a sens».tional story to the police to-day, declaring that thieves broke into his cottage at Oamperdown, close to the city, bound and gagged him, ransacked his bedroom and decamped with £139 the proceeds of the sale of his mixed business. Detectives found lanbo in a great state of agitation. When they arrived they wore unable to enter owing to Lindo brandishing a meat chopper. Finally they were able to convince him that they were the police
