GRUESOME DISCOVERY
DEVELOPMENT IN BRIGHTON MYSTERY. HEAD AND ARMS FOUND IN TRUNK. ALSO BODY OF ANOTHER VICTIM. LONDON, July 15. The “Daily Mail” says that the head and arms of the Brighton torso (found on June 19), packed in a second largo trunk, and containing the body of another woman killed by a hammer blow on the 'back of the head, were discovered at Brighton to-night by Scotland Yard and local detectives. The second victim is believed to be a toe dancer, known professionally as Violet Kaye, a dim blonde, aged 42, though she looked much younger. The second body was doubled up in a trunk in a room in the back of a Kemp Street 'house, which had been shut up for a considerable time. The police visited the house, as to which they possessed' information, some days after searching neighbouring houses. The discoveries included a wooden-framed cloth tray, such as would fit into the top of travelling trunks. The trunk found on June 19 carried a similar tray. (On June ID it was reported that a cheap brown fibre trunk left at Brighton .Station, when opened by railway officials, contained a female body lacking head and limbs. Later a suitcase found at King’s Cross station contained a woman’s legs, believed' to belong to the same person. The Brighton trank was deposited on June 6 and the King’s Cross suitcase on June 7.) SIGNS OF VIOLENCE, i SOME VALUABLE! CLUES. (Received Monday, 7 p.m.) . LONDON, July 16. The “Daily Mail” states that the >olice discovered in the same room a blood-stained hammer, blood-stained Clothing in newspapers, various parcels and a suitcase. Signs of violence were everywhere evident. The police circulated a description of a man who recently 'boarded at the house in which the second trunk was discovered and did not return there yesterday. The police discovered letters and correspondence which may provide valuable dues. They believe that Miss Kaye died first and the unidentified' woman, knowing the manner of Miss Kaye’s death, may have paid the penalty for her knowledge. SUSPECT WANTED. (Received Monday, 8.30 p.m.) LONDON. July 16. The police throughout the country have .been instructed to seek Tony Mancini, alias Cecil England alias Jack Noytre, aged 28. He has a cast , the eye, stutters badly nmi is wellknown in West End cafes.
