HUGE CUTS IN PRODUCTION . PROPOSED. (Received Sunday, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 5. Sir Stafford Cripps, speaking at Upton, referring to his visit to America, said that Mr. Wallace, U.S.A. Minister of Agriculture, told him he had decided put out of cultivation 25,000,000 acres. The Western States were contemplating stopping cultivation over 75 million acres out of their total area, equivalent to the entire cultivated area in Canada.
