UNKNOWN MAN KILLED.
FATALITY IN AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, May 4. Fatal injuries were received by a middle-aged man when he was knocked down .by a motor car in Beach Road to-day. The deceased, who was still unidentified at a late hour, was apparently a returned soldier, judging by a slip of paper found in one pocket. The accident occurred when the man left the kerb and stepped between two parked cars into the path of an oncoming motor.—(P.A.)
