WEATHER REPORTS.
Masterton: Miss R. Robinson reported as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph, 29.88; shade temperature, maximum, 63.6; minimum, 43; terrestrial, 33.8; sunshine, 10 hours 36 minutes. The Government Meteorologist (Dr. E. Kidson) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday as follows:—The first of a fresh series of westerly depressions is crossing the Dominion to-day. Forecast: Winds, northerly at first north of Westport and Cape Campbell but a temporary change to the south-west advancing rapidly from the south, strong and squally generally and in places reaching gale force, but later moderating. Weather: Changeable, some rain in most districts but a temporary improvement setting in from the west and the south; temperatures cool. Sun rises, 6.11 a.m.; sets, 6.53 p.m. Lighting-up time, 7.23 p.m.
