Though the Botary Conference does ♦not officially open at New Plymouth until to-day a gathering to welcome visiting Rotarians and their womenfolk was held last night. Over 200 were present and the proceedings were of an informal nature, giving those who were not already acquainted an opportunity of meeting before the official business of the conference commences.—(P.A.)
