WEATHER REPORTS.
Masterton: Miss R. Robinson reported as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph, 30.05; shade temperature, maximum, 67.8; minimum, 61.6; terrestrial, 61.6; rain, 86 points.
Solway: Mr. H. Al. Boddington reports that 120 points of rain were registered at Solway for the 24 hours up till 9 o’clock yesterday morning. The Government Meteorologist (Dr. E. Kidson) reported at 4 p.m .yesterday:—Pressure is still high to the east of New Zealand, but a shallow depression is now crossing the North Island. A fresh depression is located over the south-west Tasman Sea. Forecast:/winds, variable and mainly light to moderate southerlies, becoming fairly general during to-night, but later again veering to northerlies in most places. Weather: Cloudy and humid, with scattered rains and in places thunder. Improving temporarily in most districts to-morrow.
