ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.

NURSING DIVISION APPEAL. ENJOYABLE CABD EVENING. The St. John Ambulance Brigade, Masterton, Nursing Division, held a 500 card evening at the residence of Mrs. H. W. Thompson, Perry Street, on Saturday evening, in aid of its funds. The evening was greatly enjoyed by those present. After cards, a light supper was dispensed and the prizes presented; Mrs. Robb gaining first for the ladies and Mrs. Johns first for the men. Consolation prizes were won by Mrs. Cornish and Mr. Palamontain. Amounts collected in response to the appeal aref. — Previously acknowledged, £3 6s; Mrs. D. Buchanan, £1; Mrs. H. W. Thompson, card evening, £1 0s 3d; D. and It. Osborne, Is 6d; Anonymous, 2s. The secretary, Miss Robb, Fire Station, will be pleased to receive further donations, which are urgently needed.
