CRICKET.
ODDFELLOWS’ THIRD GRADE TEAM. AVERAGES FOR PAST SEASON. The Oddfellows’ third grade team, which won the Wairarapa championship this season, has a record of which it has eveiy reason to be proud. Thanks to the skilful coaching and care given to the interests of the team by Mr. P. Smith, the players have developed into very capable batsmen and bowlers. An outstanding player in the team is M. Pool, who heads the batting average with 48.08 (including five occasions on which he retired). He is an exceptionally good batsman and a splendid bowler, being second in the averages with 5.47, and having caiptured the most wickets.
