Kidson) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday:—The anti-cyclone has commenced to move eastwards, its centre now being located near the Chathams; a cyclone is situated on the Western Tasman Sea; forecast, winds north-easter-ly to northerly, strong to gale force in the far north, elsewhere light to moderate but freshening; weather still fair to fine in most districts, but unsettled conditions setting in soon in the far north with rain and rain becoming fairly general by to-morrow night; temperatures rising. Sun rises, 6.13 a.m.; sets, 5.33 p.m. Lighting-up time:—6.3 p.m.
