GLADSTONE CLUB ANNUAL. MEETING. The annual general meeting, of the Gladstone Football Club was held at Gladstone on Monday evening, Mr.. R. Cooiper presiding over a good attendance of supporters and players. The balance sheet, which was adopted, showed a credit of £l5 6s Id, which was considered very satisfactory.. Officers for the ensuing year w'ere elected as under:—Patron, Mr. W. Jackson; president, Mr. E. B. Booth; vice-presidents, Messrs. R.’ Cooper, C. Matson, F. Joblin, H. Henderson, A. Ross, H. King,, J. K. Strang, H. Niti, E. Mason, W.'Tah&na, J. Snell, N. McKay, J. Howard, A. K Booth, T. Eaton, F. Foreman, Eric Foreman, G. Vincent, A. Johnson, Jj Johnson, . B. Rayner, W. O. Riddell, Henry Booth, Percy Cooper, G. Foreman and N. Foreman; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. D. McKay; auditor, Mr. H. D. Thorpe; delegates tothA Wairarapa Rugby Union;. Messrs. A. E. Booth, E. B. Booth and H. D. Thorpe; Advisory Board delegate, Mr. H. D. Thorpe; senior coach, Mr. F. Biooth; junior coach, Mr. H. D. Thorpe.
It was agreed that the subscriptions should .be: Senior, 56;. junior, 2k 6d. The club this year will enter only senior and junior teams in. the competition*! The policy of promoting young players-has-been adopted. The Gladstone senior team is anticipating a match with the* Mirahrir senior team at Wellington on Easter Saturday. The first practice for both seniors and juniors will take place at Gladstone on Saturday, April 1. (Other-football news appejys on page2*)
