The heavy traffic fees received and allocated by the Masterton County Council as the distributing authority of the No. 10. Heavy Traffic District for. the quarter ended February 28, are as follow, the figures for the corresponding quarter of 1932 being given in parentheses:— Receipts. Is 6d); Akitio, £4l Os 5d (£37 8s 6d); .Castlepoint, £l2 0s 3d (£26 13s 2d). 1 Boroughs.—Masterton, £43l’ 16s lid (£393 10s 5(1); Pahiatua, £62 Ts 6d i(£6l 7s id); Featherston, £143 12s (£99 8s); Greytown; £6 19s 6d (£2O 4's 'Bd) ;- Carterton, £lOl 8s 5d (£BO 13s 10d); Eketahuna, £lO 13s 8d (£lO 13s .3d). After the commission fee to the Masterton County Council, is deducted, a sum of £1228 10s is available for distribution, as compared with £lllO 9s last year. The allocation is made on the basis of five-eighths to the counties, £767 16s 3d (£694’ Os 9d), and threeeighths to the boroughs, £460 13& 9d (£416 8s 3d). The allocation to the boroughs is on the basis of 40 per cent, to Masterton. and the remaining boroughs have the balance equally divided. The figures are.-:—Masterton, £lB4 5s 6d (£166 11s 3d); Pahiatua, Featherston, Greytowtt, Carterton, Eketahuna, Martinborough, each receive £46 Is 4d (£4’l 12s lOd 1 last year). The allocation to counties is made on the basis of 50 per cent, capital valuation and 50 per eent. mileage of metalled roads. The figures are: —Master*ton, £164 7s 3d (£149 5s 8d); Featherston, £165 19s 3d (£l5O- 14s 8d) ; Wairarapa South, £126 7s 6d (£ll4 Ils 10d); Pahiatua, £lOB 7s 8d (£9B 6s sd); Eketahuna, £79 19s 8d (£72 13s 2d); Akitio £s'9 19s 8d (£5l 13s lOd); Castlepoint, £35. Ils 8d (£32 3s Gd 1 ); Mauriceville, £27 3s 7d (£24 Ils 8d). Totals, £767 16s 3d (£694 Os 9d). The allocation was prepared by Mr. T. C. D. Mackley, County Clerk, Masterton County Council.
