Masterton: Miss B. Robinson repoed at 9 a.m. yesterday: Barograph, 30.28; shade temperature, maximum 71.6, minimum 58.4; terrestrial, 42.6; sunshine, 8 hours 18 minutes. The Government Meteorologist (Dr. E. Kidson) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday:—A shallow depression is centred 'north of the Bay of Plenty and another is advancing across the Tasman Sea; the pressure is high to the east of the South Island; forecast, winds light but increasing east to north winds; weather cloudy to overcast, with mist or fog at many places, rain gradually extending from the north over most districts, some heavy falls between Hawke’s Bay and the Bay of Plenty, mainly light and scattered in the southern half of the South Island; temperatures warm.
