EVENTS AT NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. A. J. ELLIOT DEFEATED. CHRISTCHURCH, March 11. The New Zealand amateur athletic championships were concluded to-day. The weather was cool and overeast with a light easterly breeze. The tracks were in fast condition. Canterbury won the Athletic Shield with a total of 44 points, Otago being next with 37, West Coast, North Island 2-6, Auckland 25 and Wellington 22. Results.
