The Government Meteorologist (Dr. E. Kidson) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday:—An anti-eyclone covers the Tasman Sea and the whole of New Zealand, while a widespread low pressure area is located to the northwards, forecast: Winds, freshening easterly north of Kawhia and East Cape; elsewhere light to moderate and variable, but fresh westerly winds about Foveaux Strait. Weather, fair to fine generally, but scattered showers in Foveaux Strait and unsettled conditions, with rain developing- in North Auckland and Bay of Plenty districts. Temperatures becoming warmer.
