CARTERTON SALE.
Mercrs Wright, Stephenson find Co., Ltd., report: We held our weekly sale at Carterton yesterday, when we offered a yarding to a good attendance. Sheep sold at par rates. Weaner pigs were a little easier, pithough porkers were firmer. Cattle sold at about last week's prices. Practically a total clearance was effected as under:— Sheep: 2 and 4-th wether, 8/7 to 8/8; fat lambs, 11/- to 12/-; fat ewes, 5/to 5/3. Pigs: Weaners, 8/-, 8/6, 9/-, 10/- to 11/-; slips, 12/-, 13/- to 15/-; porkers, light, 19/6 to 20/-; porkers, 24/-. Cattle: Springing heifers, £2/10/-; store cows, 15/-; forward cows, 30/-. Turkey gobblers, 10/- to 11/6; geese, 4/6 to 5/-.
