KING ALBERTS PALACE.
BADLY DAMAGED BY FIRE. BRUSSELS, December 21. Three fire brigades took an hour to subdue a fire at King Albert’s magnificent palace and fought desperately to prevent the flames spreading to the salon, where there are many historic treasures. The city’s entire police force was sent to control thousands of onlookers. The fire destroyed the oak beams of the dome and the supporting girders.
