STEAMERS COLLIDE.
ONE SUNK WITH LOSS OF EIGHT LIVES. RUGBY, December 21. The steamers Gateshead and Miranda collided off Seaheam Harbour this morning. The Gateshead sank, and the captain and seven of the crew were drowned. Five were rescued and taken on board the Miranda.—(British Official Wireless.)
