LOYAL TEMPERANCE LEGION.
MASTERTON BRANCH MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Loyal Temperance Legion was held in the Congregational Sunday School last Friday evening. Miss Jackson presided over a fair attendance of members. The proceedings opened with a hymn, 'followed by prayer. Several new members were enrolled. Miss McGregor ‘gave a splendid talk on "Cells.” A hearty vote of thanks was proposed by Hester Milne and seconded by Mr Greenwood.
The previous meeting held in the Salvation Army Hall was presided over by Mr Greenwood. A talk by Captain Risely and lantern slides by Mr. Bate were much appreciated.
