OBITUARY.
MR. W. GREEN.
The death occurred at the Masterton Hospital yesterday morning of Mr William Green, of Bentley Street, Masterton. The late Mr. Gpreen was an old and respected resident of Masterton for many years. He is survived b>) a widow (who is at present an inmate of the Masterton Hospital) and one daughter, Mrs F. Amoore who will have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their sad bereavement. The late Mr. Gjreen was born at Bethnal Green, Middlesex, England, on August 4, 1847. He came to New Zealand by the sailing ship Wennington, arriving in Wellington on May 24, 1874 and had been a resident of Masterton ever since. In 1878 he married Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Gibbs, of Masterton. Thirty-five years ago Mr. Green had the great misfortune to meet with an Occident as the result of which he had since been practically blind. The funeral will leave 58 Church Street, at 2 p.m. to-morrow, for the Masterton Cemetery.
