It was reported on Saturday that the Foxton-Levin main highway was again safe for traffic. The water rapidly receded after the main drain floodgates were opened. The properties are 964 acres, with dwelling and farm buildings, and 374 acres with cottage and barn, both situated at Taumata Island, Waihakeke.
