In the final of the singles he beat Timmer, 1/6, 6/3, 6/3, 6/4,and, partnered by Hopman. tAus’ tralia) took the doubles title defeating Miki and Satoh (Japan), 6/4, 6/1, 6/1. With Mrs. Crawford he also reached the finals of the mixed doubles but was beaten, 6/4, 1/6, 8/6 by Miss Round and Miki.

Other results were:—Ladies’ doubles: Mrs. Mitchell and Miss Round beat Mrs. Harper and Miss Palfrey, 6/0, 6/3. Ladies’ singles: Mrs. Burke (United btates) beat Madame Jenrlrzeiowska (Poland), 1/6, 7/5, 6/4.
