AUSTRALIAN SUCCESSES IN LONDON. QUEEN’S CLUB FINALS. (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, June .18. Crawford, the Australian D'avis Cup star, figured prominently in the Queen’s Club tennis finals. In the final of the singles he beat Timmer, 1/6, 6/3, 6/3, 6/4,and, partnered by Hopman. tAus’ tralia) took the doubles title defeating Miki and Satoh (Japan), 6/4, 6/1, 6/1. With Mrs. Crawford he also reached the finals of the mixed doubles but was beaten, 6/4, 1/6, 8/6 by Miss Round and Miki.
Other results were:—Ladies’ doubles: Mrs. Mitchell and Miss Round beat Mrs. Harper and Miss Palfrey, 6/0, 6/3. Ladies’ singles: Mrs. Burke (United btates) beat Madame Jenrlrzeiowska (Poland), 1/6, 7/5, 6/4.
