CHILDREN’S GOODWILL DAY.

BROADCAST THIS EVENING. MESSAGE' FROM WALES. To-day is Children’s International Goodwill Day, organised by the League of Nations Union, and a message from the children of Wales to children in all other parts of the world is to be broadcasted by Station 2YA., Wellington, during the Children’s Hour, from 5 to 6 p.m. The reply made on behalf of the children of New Zealand to the message from Wales will also be broad casted. As some children will not hear to-day’s broadcast on account of being away for the school holidays, arrangements are also being made to re-broadcast the goodwill messages on the first Tuesday after the schools assemble, between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. The Masterton branch of the League of Nations Union is appealing to all school authorities to make arrangements under which the children will be able to hear the broadcast. It is hoped that in rural districts people possessed of loud-speakers will allow children not otherwise provided for to listen in.
