LONDON PRODUCE PRICES.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated April 30, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Tallow: No auction until next week. Market quiet with no alteration in prices. Hemp: Manila, market dull and inactive. Value of “K” grade for AprilJune shipment, £l7. Sisal: Market quiet but steady at last quotations. New Zealand: Nominally unchanged; no offers reported. Fruit.—Apples: S.S. Coptic and Otira consignments practically cleared. Cox’s Orange, exceptionally wasty, 4s to 14s; others, 9s to Ils 6d. Pears: Conference T4s and Packham’s Triumph 15s. S.S. Rangitiki discharging. Condition of fruit reported very forward.
