CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB REDUCES STAKES. CHRISTCHURCH, September 1. The Canterbury Jockey Club to-day decided upon a reduction of £6490 in the stake money allotted for the November meeting and to reduce the number of. races on the second and third days to seven. The total stakes will bo £9310, as against £15,800 last year.— (P.A.)
