A NOTABLE CHOIR.

APPEARANCE IN MASTERTON ON SATURDAY. IN AID OF Y.MC.A. FUNDS. A first-class programme of vocal items has been arranged for presentation at the Masterton Opera House on Saturday night by the Wellington Commercial Travellers’ Male Voice Choir. The performance is being held in aid of the Masterton Y.M.C.A. funds and a choir with a reputation like that held of the Commercial Travellers is bound to attract a capacity house. Included in the programme are a number of part songs, a tenoc solo by Mr. H. Phipps and one by Mr. C. A. Wilson, an item by the Lyric Quartette {.Messrs C. A. Williams, W. Roy Hill, W. Gondie and W. Binet Brown), and a duet by Messrs Egerton Pegg and W. Gondie. Other soloists who will be heard in the part songs are Messrs G. M. Howe, David M. Anderson, F. W. Laycock, S. E. Rodger and Hugh Wright.
