New Zealand, who declared with the score at 410 for nine wickets, continued the match against Lancashire in fine weather. The wicket was somewhat dead as the result of yesterday’s rain. Hallows and Horrocks opened attractively, the scores being, Hallows, not out, 45; Horrocks, not out, 35; extras, 4; total, 84. Following is the bowling analysis for New Zealand’s innings: Hodgson, 5/93; Sibbles, 3/107; Hopwood, 0/71; Horrocks, 0/16; Iddon, 1/96; Taylor, 0/15; Paynter, 0/2.
