Masterton: Miss R. Robinson reported at 9 a.m. as follows:— June 13: Barograph, 29.78; shade temperature, maximum 61.4, minimum 41.4; terrestrial 37.4; sunshine, 5 hrs.; lain, 14 points. June 14: Barograph, 29.85; shade temperature, maximum. 61.8, minimum 41.6; terrestrial, 34.6; sunshine, 54 minutes; rain, 56 points. Solway: Mr. H. M. Boddington reports that 19 points of rain were registered at Solway for the 24 hours up till 9 a.m. on (Saturday anf? ,a 3B points tip to 9 a,m. yesterday. The Government Meteorologist (Dr. E. Kidson) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday:—The depression passed to the eastwards during Saturday night, but a secondary one has since developed off the west coast of the South Island; an anti-cyclone is moving over the •Tasman >Sea with its centre to the northwards; the forecast is for winds, variable, but southerlies setting in generally, strong at first but soon moderating and later tending to westerly; weather unsettled, dull and misty, with fairly general rain, some heavy 'falls to-night, especially in the Cook Strait area, temperatures becoming colder: a temporary improvement probable soon. Sun rises, 7.1’3 a.m; sets, 4.28 p.m. Lighting-up time:—4.sB p.m.
