METHODIST CHURCH.
ANNIVERSARY SERVICES YESTERDAY. CONCERT TO-NIGHT. There were targe congregations at the anniversary services of the Masterton Methodist Church, which were conducted yesterday by the chairman of the District, the Rev. T. R. Richards, of Wellington. A feature of the morning service was the special music rendered by a children’s choir of seventy voices. Mr. Richards took as the text of his sermon. "The Visions of Christ in Modern Life.” At tho evening service, at which Mr. Richards spoke on "Divine Love in its Terminal Points,” the choir rendered the anthems, "Conquering Kings TheiTitles Take,’, and "O' Worship the ■King.” The celebrations will bo con •tinned to-night when a grand reunion concert will be held in the Sehool Hall, commencing at 7.45 o’clock. Tho Rev. E. O. Blamires will preside, the Rev. W. Parker will give a brief address, and a splendid musical and elocution ary programme will be provided. Many of the leading artists of Masterton will assist. Features of the concert will be a whistling solo and a dramatic duo. .
