TRAMPING CLUB DANCE.
FUNCTION IN MUNICIPAL HALL.
The Wairarapa Tramping Club held its inaugural ’dance in the Municipal Hall last night. Dancers were present in fair numbers and, thunks to the (complete arrangements that had been made, all present spent an enjoyable evening. The music, which was a feature of the function, was supplied by the Savoy Orpheans Orchestra and was greatly enjoyed. Much appreciated extras were played by Minifies’ Orchestra. A capable ladies’ committee hakl the supper arrangements well in hand.
The decorations were greatly admired. These were carried out under the supervision of Mr. E. W. Payton, assisted by Mesdames F .C. Brockett, F. E, Allen, Misses C. Carle, G. Carle, JJrockett (2), G. G. Matthews, Smith, Aplin, Bradbury, Newman, Calanan, and Messrs J. Bra’dbury, T. Lewis, P. W. Jackson, E. Jenkins, F. C. Brockett, F. E. Allen, G. J. Goldsman, and Laird (3). Miss Calanan was responsible for the silhouette which occupied a prominent position in the middle of the hall and also the committee badges.
