FISHING SEASON.

ADVERSE WEATHER AFITSCT6 CATCHES. Rivers in the Wairarapa district are reported to be carrying a large number of fish, although no big baskets have been recorded this season, owing to the unfavourable weather conditions prevailing since the season opened. A fair number of good fish, however have been obtained in the lower reaches of the BuamaJianga River, some being up to 41bs. The Waipoua River is said to contain any amount of fish, although there is hothing very big in this river.
