AMBULANCE ART UNION.
PRINCIPAL PRIZES. SOME WAIRARAPA WINNERS. WELLINGTON, October 31. The chief prices .in the Ambulance Art' Union were drawn to-night, as follow:—First prize, £3009 (A 44799 J. Moug, Wellington; 2nd prize, £250 (075697); J. Montgomerie, Greytown; 3rd prize, £lOO (A 62581 A. Parker, Wainunga, Havelock North. Prizes of £lO each were won by Mr. J. Stanton, Senr., Martinborough; Glenwood, Masterton; and E. Gunn, Mangatainoka. Mr. Moug, the winner of the first prize, is a young man who was born in Scotland, but came to New Zealand when a child. He is a draper, but has been unable to find employment in his trade for two years and has consequently been in occasional employment with a timber firm.—(P.A.)
