KNOX CHURCH.

ANNUAL MEETING OF P.W.M.U.

The annual meeting of the Knox P.W.M.U. was held in Knox- Hall on Wednesday. Mr. A. McFarlane, M.A., presided over a good attendance of members. After devotional exercises the secretary (Mrs. J. Macßae) presented the report of the year’s work, which showed that much good work had been done in the cause of missions The treasurer (Mrs. G. R. Beecroft) presented a statement of the receipts and payments. After the adoption of these reports, the following office-bear-ers were elected: President, Mrs. W. R. S. Willoughby; vice-presidents, Mesdames J. Davie, AT. J. McGregor, H. T. Wood, A., Henderson, G. Ross, ,T. MacRae and Miss L. McGregor; secretary, Mrs. G. W. Morice; treasurer. Mrs. G. R. Beecroft; committee, Mesdames A. Young, G. Malmo, J. Miller, p. a j. Raethffe, G. Ross and Miss Reynolds; M.M.B.L, Secretary, Miss E. RossHarvest Field secretary, Mrs. J. Watson; organists, Mesdames D. Montgomery and A. Young; member at door, Miss L. McGregor; hospital visitors, Mesdames A. Henderson, J. McLennan and Miss Reynolds; correspondence secretary, Mrs. J. McLennan; stamp secretary, Mrs. F. E. J. Ractliffle. After nominations for P.A. officers were taken, Mr. McFarlane expressed ?. 1 L P « a 4“ re at bcing present at the KW.M.u. annual meeting and gave a very interesting talk on student life in Cambridge, making special reference to Westminster College, whore he had been studying for the last twelve months. Votes of thanks were accorded to Mr McFarlane for presiding at the meeting; Mr. A. D. Low, auditor; and Mrs Montgomery, organist. During the afternoon, solos were rendered by Mrs Shearer and Mrs. Rigg and were much appreciated. The meeting closed with the Benediction, after which afternoon tea was handed round and a social time spent.
