ROAD CYCLING.

MASTERTON CLUB’S EVENT. 22 MILES RACE. The Masterton Amaleur Athletic Clul> held its third scries of road cycle races on Saturday when a good muster of riders competed in a 22 miles event from Johnstone Street to the Gladstone Post- Office. The race was very evenly contested, the riders finishing in a. bunch, a fact that speaks well for the judgment of the handicapper (Mr. W. Grantham). A strong cross wind was encountered for most of the distance. Nevertheless, some good times were registered. The following are the results: G. Tinkler, 1; T. McCord, 2; Wiatt, 3. T. Oakley, off the scratch mark finished fifth and recorded fastest time.
