Masterton—Miss R. Robinson reported at 9 a.m. yesterday:—‘Barograph, 30.38. Shade temperature: Maximum, 51; minimum, 34.8. Terrestrial, 23.8. Sunshine, 1 hour 25 minutes. Frost, 6.6. The Government Meteorologist (Dr. E. Kidson) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday:—The anti-cyclone has now moved eastwards of the Dominion and a cyclone is approaching from the northern Tasman Sea; the forecast is for winds, easterly to northerly, moderate generally, hut freshening over the North Island: seas smooth. to moderate but rising north of East Cape; weather dull and misty in the northern and East Coast districts on the North Island, with rain developing and extending gradually over most of the Dorninion; temperatures mild ‘over the NortE' Island, but cold in the South.
