Advice Isas been—-received of the death in England of Mr. Roland Leach, of Waiorongomai, Featherston. Mr. Leach was on a visit to England. Mr. J. F. Mendelssohn, of Darling Point, Sydney, arrived in 'Wellington by the Mauuganui yesterday on a brief visit to her mother, Mrs Meyer Castleberg, formerly of Masterton. On returning to Sydney Mrs Mendelssohn will sail with her family for the United States, where they will make their future home in Chicago. Mr. Mendelssohn, who has just returned to Australia, after a tour which included visits to Great Britain, France, Germany and the United States, has been appointed foreign sales adviser to one of the largest American hosiery manufacturing firms. While in London Mr. Mendelssohn spoke to hi.- wife in Sydney by wireless telephone.
