Buchanan, of Lansdowne, have returned from a vjsit to Australia. NAVY LEAGUE AUXILIARY. A meeting of the Masterton Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Navy League was held yesterday. Present: Mesdames O. A. Bunny (presiding), R. E. Maunsell, C. M. Strouts, C. M. Bowden, A. Oaselberg, W. A. Michael and the Misses Cameron and 'Sellar. Apologies were received from Mesdames C. C. Jackson, W. H. Bobieson, B. C. Blrummond, H. MacKenzie Douglas, F. Whitton and Miss B. V-all'ance. The annual report of the Wellington Branch was received, also al report of their annual meeting. A letter was received from Wellington (Stating that the cases of garments for sailors’ dependents in England are to foe shipped on September 23 and it was decided to meet on September 1 to sort and mark the garments from Masterton members and to arrange about packing the case. WEDDING. EDE—TUCKETT. A very pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Matthew’s Church on Monday by the Rev. H. Whitby James, of Tinui, the contracting parties being Ida Blanche, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs Thickett, of Tinui. and Harold Arthur, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs Ede, of Eketahuna. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a frock of white tulle embroidered with silver, worn over a dress of white satin. From the close fitting bodice the skirt hung in peaks to ankle length, while the shoulder was finished with a spray of orange blossom. Her veil of silver embroidered tulle was arranged over a head-dress of silver lace and finished with a wreath of orange blossom. Silver shoes completed her toilet. 'She carried a shower bouquet of white spring flowers. She was attended by two bridesmaids—Miss Pearl Ede, of Eketahuna, and Miss Ngaio Spires, of Pairaparaumu, both being dressed alike in dainty frocks, ankle length, of eau de nil mariette with close fitting bodices and full flared skirts, finished with hems of fisher net. They wore beige felt hats with lace medallions and touches of eau de nil and shoes toning with their hats. Both carried bouquets of pale pink. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Barry Page, of Eketahuna, as best man, and Mr. James Tuckettt as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Masonic Hall. The bride’s mother, who received the guests, wore a frock of black crepe de chene with touches of beige, black hat and shoes to tone, and carried a posy of cyclamen. The bridegroom’s mother wore a frock of black satin with hat and (shoes to tone. She also carried a posy of -cyclamen, The happy couple left by car for the south, Hie bride wearing a smart frock of figured velvet and a musquash coat, with hat and shoes to tone. Mr. and Mrs Ede were the recipients of numerous and costly gifts, including several cheques. \ LADIES’ GOLF. DRAW FOR TO-MORROW.
