Kidson) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday:—The pressure is low over southern Australia, the Tasman Sea and the New Zealand area. A depression of slight intensity is centred over the North Island. Forecast: Winds, mainly moderate and variable with southerly to westerly prevailing. Weather, mainly fine in Westland and the interior of the South Island, elsewhere still cloudy and misty with scattered rain. Temperatures moderate. Sun rises, 6.59 a.m.; sets, 5.11 p.m. Lighting-up time—s 36 p.m..
