EARTHQUAKE DISASTER.
ON NORTHERN AND EASTERN SHORES OF CASPIAN. TOWNS DESTROYED AND HEAVY LOSS OF LIFE. FOUR THOUSAND INJURED. (Received Monday, 11.20 p.m.) LONDON, August 4. Moscow reports state that five hundred were killed and four thousand injured in an earthquake along the northern and eastern shores of the Caspian Sea, which destroyed the towns of Uritsk and Chapaev and many villages. The Ural Biver overflowed and flooded Chapaev.
