HIGH SCHOOL CONCERT.

NEXT MONTH’S ATTRACTION. Those who have attended previous Wairarapa High School concerts will be pleased to hear that the 'annual concert will be held in the Opera House on August 6 and 7. The programme is this year more varied than iisual and very large numbers are taking part in the various items. The school orchestra, under Mr B. J. Young, is still in a flourishing condition and will be heard in a number of items. It is thought that the singing by the boys’ and girls’ groups ,-will be up to the usual high standard. Miss M. Sellar is responsible for what will undoubtedly be a very pleasing item—-a simultaneous ballet by a number of the girls. The play to be presented is a farce in one act by the famous novelist Arvold Bennett. A number of the senior scholars have this in hand and the audience will undoubtedly appreciate the bright dialogue and amusing situations.
