MASTEBTON SALE. The W.F.C.A. Ltd. report having held their weekly Masterton. 'sale yesterday when they offered a good entry of sheep of all classes to a small attendance of buyers. There was a slack demand and prices realised were on a par with .recent low Tates. Quotations:—loo good 4-th wethers, 20/6, 100 good 2-th wethers, 18/-; 75 medium 2-th wethers, 1.6/8; 23 small 2-th wethers, 10/3; 56 s.m. ewes r.w. S.D. rams, 10/8; 26 fat b.f. lambs, 17/-; 17 do. 15/10; 109 medium b.f. lambs, 9/-; 28 good wether Jambs, 12/6; 46 med. wether lambs, 8/6; 26 small wether kfftrs, 4/5; fwd. cows, £5/2/6 to £5 17/6. Tho N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co. Ltd, report on their usual weekly sale as follows: —We offered a good yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs to the usual attendance of buyers. The sheep being of better quality than yardings of hate, met with keen competition and were sold at .prices'Slightly in advance of recent 'sales. Two pens of good ewe lambs elicited keen bidding and were sold at 19/6 and 19/10 respectively. Dairy cows due in spring sold well, but pigs did not maintain the advance the/ made last week. Wo quote: 37 m.a. Romney ewes r.w. Rom. ram, 18/6; 36 2, 4 and 6-th. Southdown cross ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, 20/6; G 6 good woolly lambs, 14/6; 32 P.B. Romney ewe lambs (shorn), 19/6; 30 good woolly ewe lambs, 19/10; 16 fat ewes, 16/-; 10 fat downs, 14/7; 24 4-th. wethers, 20/1; 12 woolly wether lambs, 11/2; 24 m.s. woolly lambs, 11/9; 12 b.f. lambs, 12/-; cull ewes, 5/-. Pigs (35 yarded), good slips, 14/6 to 15/-; good weaners, 7/6 to 10/-; small weaners, 4/6 to 6/-. Cattle: 1 eow just calved, £l2/5/-; 6 cows duo in Spring, £6 to £7/2/6. Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd, report on the Masterton sale as follows: A small entry of sheep and cattle was submitted to a poor attendance of buyers. Competition was dull but prices realised were on a par with recent sales. Following is the range of prices: Fat wethers, 24/-; medium store wethers, 14/-; cull do, 10/2; cull 2-th ewes, 9/-; empty store cows, £5; light, fat bullocks, £9/5/-. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd, report On the Masterton sale: A medium entry of sheep was submitted to the usual attendance of buyers. Prices were on a par with recent sales, and we effected a clearance at the following realisations: —i£km. ewes r.w. ram. 11/6; 2-th. wethers, 15/4 to 17/; Wither lambs, 12/2; ewe lambs, 13/-; b.f. lambs, 10/7.
