NOMADS AT CARTERTON. In the fourth annual match between tlie Wellington Nomads- and the Carterton Lawn Tennis Club, played at Carterton on -Saturday, the Nomads (a tearn on this occasion representing 13 clubs) gained the victory, winning 27 rubbers to Carterton’s 12. On Saturday last a team from the Martinborough Tennis Club visited Kelburn and played a return match. The visitors found the hard -courts a little lively after the 'grass, and it took them some time to get used to them, Kelburn coming out winners by 12 matches to 4.
