A NATIONAL APPEAL.

MEETING OF WOMEN ON FRIDAY

EVENING.

With reference to the appeal that is being made to the public of New Zealand to provide a fund of £25,000 as an endowment for the Obstetrical Department of the Dominion Medical School, Dr. Doris Gordon, of Stratford, is to address a public meeting of women in the Municipal Lecture Hall on Friday evening next at 8 o’clock. The Mayoress (Mrs T. Jordan) particularly requests the attendance of representative of all women’s organisations as well as of all other women interested in the important national project on which Dr. Gordon is to speak. The essential object of the meeting on Friday will be to create locally the special organisation needed to enable this district to do its part in raising funds for the endowment of the Obstetrical Department of the Medical School. Dr. Gordon will, of course, be able to throw a considerable amount of interesting light on the questions involved and there should be a large attendance of women to hear her.
