WEDDING.

TYLER—HOPKINSON. A wedding of interest to a large circle of friends took place in the Salvation Army Hall, Carterton, on Wednesday when Leveita Grace, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs F. E. Tyler, of Carterton, was married to EdwfiWl William Hopkinson, of Hamilton, youngest son of Mr. and the late Mrs Hopkinson, of Ellislie, Auckland. The popularity of the young couple was shown by the large attendance at the hall which was filled to capacity, while a considerable number were unable to gain admission. The hall was decorated by Ensign and Mrs Matheson with the Salvation Amy colours, yellow, red and blue, and white bells and horse shoes. The ceremony was performed by Colonel Toomer of Wellington. The bride, who entered on the arm of her father, was attended by her sister, Miss M. Tyler. Both were attired in navy blue Army uniforms, with white crepe-de-chine sashes and orange blossom, and carried ivory with white streamers. Mr. Mack Robinson, of Hamilton, was best man. Both the groom and best man wore the uniform of the Hamilton Salvation Army band of which both are Members. At the conclusion of the ceremony, as the bride left to the strains of the wedding march, played by Mrs Ens. Matheson, she was presents with horse shoes by little Miss Merle Kennerley, Miss Bunice Fairbrother and Master Alwyn Chalmers. Subsequently a reception was held in the Methodist Sunday School where a sumptuous breakfast had been prepared by Mrs R. Fairbrother, of Masterton, assisted by friends of the bride. A notable feature was the beautiful three-decker wedding cake, made and presented by Mr. ancT Mrs A. C. Kennerley of Levin. Later the happy couple left for the south, the bride wearing a frock of powder blue crepe majestic with a fawn coat and hat and hand bag to tone.

Mr. and Mrs E. M. Hopkinson will reside in Hamilton.
