The funeral of the late Mr. W. H. Gredin, of Oarterton, took place yesterday afternoon, at the Clareville Cemetery. There was a large attendance, ineluding a representative gathering of Masonic hrethern. The service at the graveside was conducted by the Rev. W. Raine and the Masonic service by the Rev W. F. Stent, of Greytowz. The death occurred at the Waipukurau Hospital on Monday of Mrs Ellen Heyward, rehet of the late Mr. Henry Heyward of Nelson. The late Mrs Heyward was 70 years of age, and in survived by five daughters and one son. Mrs Beecroft, of Dixon Street, Masterton, is a daughter. The family will have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their sad bereavement. A very old ar.d highly respected resident of Masterton. Mrs P. Gordon, Scnr., passed away suddenly on Monday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs J. W. Bright, Ha were. The late Mrs Gordon, who was about 85 years of age, was born in Scotland, and came to the Dominion 43 years ago with her husband, the late Mr. Peter Gordon, who predeceased her 14 years ago. She leaves three sons and one daughter—Mr. J. V. Gordon, Masterton . Mr. Matthew Gordon, Australia; Mr. Herbert Gordon and Mrs J. W. Bright, Hawera. The funeral will leave Knox Church, Masterton, to-day at 2 p.m.
